Why wouldn't you want to use these? If you're using romex these boxes are much easier to use than a metal box and clips. I prefer the box made by P&S, but even the crappy Carlon Box is easier to use than a metal box.

Old plaster is always an adventure.

One time I was changing out an outlet in a living room. Nothing difficult, I didn't even have to mess with the box....just change out the broken outlet.

I had barely gotten the plate off and just touched the outlet and a piece of plaster about 2' square slabs off the wall leaving a huge are of lathe exposed and spreads itself across this ladies immaculate antique living room!

Try explaining that one to the home owner!
