having a brain fart here and this is my only source of information at this moment so anyway- how many watts = 1 amp or what would be the formula etc?

that does not make sence i am tring to find the amps? say for ex. i have 10 fixtures with 100 watt bulbs that total ='s 1,000 watts so if i need to know how many amps that draws i divide that by the voltage (120) therefor my answer would be 8.3 would this be correct?

Just for fun, do the P=I×E thing with an AC load having 0.83334 Lagging Power Factor; however, the figure "P" will reflect the Apparent Power (Volt-Amps), as applied to NJ's True Power example:
