after looking somemore i see storable pool definition in 680.2 storable pool and referenced the index as well and come up with 680.30 being the first article of 680 III. 680.32(b) as it is a 120 Gfci we are referring to. the FPN refers to 400.4, cord selection and as per 90.5 (c) fpns are for information not enforcement . in the best intrest of safety it is always good to follow them when ever practically possible. 400.4 is referring to the flexible cord of the motor not the wiring of the receptacle..Looking at 680.6 refers to equipment located within 5 feet, refers to article 250 parts V, VI, VII. looking through i found 250138 cord and plug connected equipment, it allows you to run an equipment grounding conductor in a cable assembly or flexible cord assembly. I typed this as i researched it please correct mi if i have misread anything or am not totally correct in the understanding of the setup.
