Heck, I was 50 before I even got State certified as a journeyman! (There was no certification available before then) [Linked Image], and still don't have a contractor's license. I guess I'll go get one, though. ..S

The problem with this competition is it is not equal from state to state or local to local. Some states will allow someone with a screw driver in their back pocket to take an exam, while others require up to 7 years experience with back up.

Well I am not an electrician, I am a low volt security guy. Started when I was 18, lead tech at 19, Sr Lead tech at 20, I turned 23 last week and I am the #2 tech in the company, sometimes #1 but I won't tell Oskar that....

What gets me is, you can tell by the bend of the knees and the motion blur of the hands of the guy in the bucket, he was coming down fast and hard with that sledge. Yet, the guy on the ground holding the rod has a smile on his face [Linked Image] like it's all in a days work. Can he not comprehend that if the bucket man misses the rod he's going to have a broken skull or two broken arms? [Linked Image] [Linked Image]

I would worry, too, that bucket-man could slip with the sledge upon impact, lose his footing and tumble forward only to impale himself on the rod while knocking Smilie out cold with a blow to the noggin.
