Ufer got its name from Mr. Herbert Ufer.

He was the creator of the electrode, but he is not THE CREATOR [Linked Image]

The IAEI Soares' Book on Grounding is an indispensable reference for Ufer history and a lot of other grounding topics. Even an older, used edition has a lot of good material.
