Guys,
Just wondering what the area where you guys post from looks like?.
Of course I'm not asking for brilliant 3-D graphics and what have you.
A picture of your chair would be cool!. [Linked Image]
But me my b/side quite frequently goes to sleep on this wooden based chair.
How is it for you ones?.
Oh BTW here's a picture too of my little corner of the world.

Earl, to attach a picture, you'll have to e-mail it to Bill so that it is on a web server. You can also e-mail it to me if you don't know Bill's address.

If I had a digital camera or scanner it would look like my easy chair with a laptop on one armrest and the TV in front. I surf here so I can be in the same room w/ my wife.

I sit in the living room on a recliner with a keyboard on my lap.

Right now my 3 year old is asleep beside me, my wife in sight at the dinning room table and "Law Order SVU" is on the TV.

No pics until I finish the extra room in the basement and setup my web server again [Linked Image]

I compute from the end of the kitchen counter next to the back door! I had to get creative with a 2 year-old in the house, so the case & printer are on a cupboard-high shelf, and the keyboard rolls away under the counter. I'm stealing power from my dishwasher circuit too [Linked Image]

Here's my chair... its from Ikea:

Sofas are nice with a ‘scratchpad’ keyboard in your lap.

p.s. a little off topic: My favorite “computer accessory” for the last 6 weeks has been… http://www.triliteinc.com/cozyfootwarmer.htm [Socks not included.]

Here are some pics of our Computer Room and Workstations.

(BTW: Sorry if there's a long loading time, due to these images...)

[Linked Image]

Image 1: Overview of Workstations.

My Workstations are on the Right-Hand side, and my Wife's is on
the Left-Hand side. Items in the center are:

* HP 450C Wide-Format color printer ("Plotter" for Arch. D size Media),
* MIDI Keyboard (sitting on top one of 4 planset containers),
* PC # 5's tower case, plus server equipment (behind "plotter"),
* Fax Machine (Xerox Workcentre 645 - also doubles as local printer for PC #5),
* 8 Port 10/100MBPS Switch,
* CD-ROM + Floppy Disk archives,
* Printing Media storage.

FYI: notice the messy state of bookshelves? This is a common occurance when
we both are performing heavy research!
Oh, the Cat is the "Print Manager" ... joke.

[Linked Image]

Image 2: Overview of my Workstations.

PC on Right is "CAD Work / Primary" Machine.
PC on Left is "Non-CAD Work / Secondary" usage - which includes most Internet stuff.
Physical usable Desktop space is shrinking by the minute!

Image 3: Close-Up shots of each Computer Workstation.

Image 4: Close-Up shots of Task Chair (both of us use similar types), "Plotter",
Local Printer for PC #6, plus "Print Manager" Cat (Marshall).

.. Being as we still live in an apartment,..a one bedroom, mind you..the place is pretty cramped... our P.C. dominates the kitchen table now, and we usually eat in the living room...I'm looking for a house,but the prices around here are insane...for now,this is home...
