Sorry to hear this happened!
Common protocol in deez parts is to ask if new entry Employees have valid Drivers License + Active Insurance.
This gets submitted to Insurance carrier for possible inclusion to liability policy(s).
If someone has a flagged record (like bells and whistles go off when that person's record is checked out), then someone else must drive the Truck.
Stuff like this is no doubt obvious to you, just added FTHOI.
