Anyone have some plans on how to build a rack for moving around a Greenlee 777 conduit bender? Wheels would be nice, as would a electric pump.

I would like to see a rack that would setup on job site, and allow bending of conduit, usually 2 or 3" GRC, which this bender will handle.

I have some extra time in the next few months, so I would like to try a project like this.

Rick,
I thought that Greenlee had one but the only thing that I could find was their bending table. It's shown on page 82 of the greenlee catalog.

I guess a guy could put somehting like that on wheels. Let me know what you come up with. We have the same bender.

There's an ad for one in the back of Electrical Contractor magazine every month - I'll try and find it, and update w/ a link.

Knew of a hospital electrician that would use a decommissioned gurney for a work table

I can’t resist—just what was the "decommissioning" procedure?

Actually, that is a great idea.

Once worked in a plant that required a roll-around tool box. The salty old electrical superintendent about went into convulsions when I brought in an older chrome shopping cart—"notched" specially for my tool box, of course. Ol’ Halligan never said a word—he just shook his head in disgust. [The large casters on my cart got it around easier than any of the ‘catalog’ rolling boxes. And none of them had room for a 5hp motor.]

Knew a carpenter who bought an old ambulance as a work truck. Finally bought a stretcher at a municipal auction that would fir the mounts, and bolted a piece of plywood to the top for his miter saw, and for use as a mobile work table.

I've got the Gorilla version of the mini-scaffold, and I love it. It's especially handy when hanging lots of can lights.
