Running UF cable along the eve of a house should be ok as long as it is not subject to damage. Even romex should be ok as long as it is out of the weather.
Back in Michigan they used to (and probably still do) run romex in unfinised garages along the studs. How else could you do it? You can't run it in pipe. I talked on this before but never really got a concrete answer. Any input?
