It was really an ordeal for her with 39hrs of labor or therabouts.

OUCH That makes me very glad to be male.

Glad the power stayed on till after the delivery, I am sure she would have been more uncomfortable without AC.

For anyone that has not been at a birth, the women goes through quite an ordeal.

I consider myself pretty tough and I would not want to trade places.

Trumpy and Bill, I mean no disrespect by my comments, if anything I gained more respect for my wife after attending my daughters births.

Thank You everyone for the comments!
Everyone is doing fine and going home today (for some rest I think)

Bob,

I was in on my children's births, but they went very quickly. The time element here caught us all by surprise. 10 minutes after the delivery the Father was still visibly shaken, I think he'd agree with you about not wanting to trade places.

Roger, My wife is looking over my shoulder and if you keep posting pictures like that my family may grow. [Linked Image]

How can you not be touched by that photo?

It is a sleepover morning here at the iwire house so we have 4 girls under 5 here.

It is loud, messy and a lot of work,(wow that could describe the birth too) but we will do it again next Friday, the girls have such agreat time how could I say no.

Bob
