Whoa!

Check out what our taxes help pay for:

Cheney's electric bill ...

I'm estimating at $0.10 per KWh...

That's some major hair-dryer!

I get 114 MW-hr per month.

Perhaps did you mean an average constant load of 155 kW (650 A @ 120 V)?

$186,000 divided by 12 months = $15,500 per month.

$15,500 per month divided by $.10 per KWh = 155,000 KWh.

Now I'm getting 155MWh (Oops) per month... How'd you get your figures? 114?

I'm missing something here then...

I used last year's actual; you used this year's estimate.

As was pointed out, the current VP lived there for just one month of the 6 months on which the estimate was based.

Well it is our military and federal government. Maybe they actually spend a dollar or two per kwh when all costs are included.

It looks like they could hire a person-in-charge-of-turning-things-on-and-off, pay them $5K a month, and we'd still be ahead.
(the interns are probably afraid of the dark)
Any way you look at it, we foot the bill.

Not to mention that if my bill was merely 5% of that (it's about .25% now) the DEA would be ramming my doors down...

I had to edit...forgot to divide by 12 months... (Oops! again...boy that's two this thread...)
