I am wondering if a 115 volt window air conditioner will cause a afci breaker to trip on a bedroom circut.. House is not trimmed out yet. My brother and I thought possibly when ac starts up afci may trip. What do you guys think?????

Did a house about a year and a half ago that had a bedroom window ac unit used in it last summer. Ckt has afci protection. they haven't called me yet.(Fingers crossed)

Thats good to hear. I have heard stories about flourescent lts ,etc tripping afci'. However so far I've had no problems. Thanks Sparky

some motors will trip AFCI's, however AC makers are probably addressing this due to 440.65
