Having just adopted 2 code cycles there's a lot of stuff to absorb, and easily forgotten as well. Are the TR receps required everywhere? We are trimming a reptile enclosure in a residential back yard tomorrow, it has a work station with receps and some receps for heaters and fridge (for the reptile food). We are of course GFCI protecting everything but I am unclear on the TR requirements. This is basically a 10 x 20 shed built on a slab with a sub panel and insulated walls covered with siding on both sides. The reptiles (Iguanas) are going to be in cages with doggie doors to the outside, and as far as I know they won't be trying to stick things into the receps.

I am not sure that 210.52 requires a receptacle there so 406.12 does not seem to apply.

IMHO, no TR required. However, you may want to check with your local AHJ

I would say that the receptacles get to be TR (tamper resistant), WR (weather resistant), AND GFCI protected.
Just bought some TR / WR GFCI receptacles. $20 each. Safety is nice- but remember when you could get a duplex receptacle for half a dollar? The '90's were NOT that long ago!

Sorry I meant 11. We are still on the 08.
NFPA has released the 2014 Analysis of Changes tho. The books are on the street now. ($65) Living in a place that is always one to two cycles behind can make these things confusing.

It looks like TR for everything except the fridge and the ceiling then.
