OMG, that is hysterical!!
It looks like they might be using those chintzy 16-gauge orange extension cords you find at the hardware store, but at least they appear to be plugged into a spider off to the side.

Cant get the rod to the earth? Bring the earth to the rod. Makes perfect sense to me, as long as I dont have to work around it!!

Greg,

From the looks of it, it would have been better to just bond it to all that metal around the generator. I am sure that metal might go back to building steel somewhere.
