I am looking for a good quality ceiling for an office building. I need to install 6 fans over a large room of cubicles. This room has a 28 foot vaulted ceiling so they must be down-rod hung. Any suggestions of a good source and/or model?

I don't know anything about quality of them, how about using a single fan from bigassfans (TM)?

Never used, but they sure look interesting.

We installed 2 of the 16 footers in a pillow factory. When we powered them up all the pillow stuffing on the floor moved immeditaly to the outside walls. These units are quiet and powerful. The units I put in came with a VFD so the speed adjustment was easy. The supplied bracket was capable of hanging on a vaulted ceiling. These things are HEAVY, over 100 lbs so a lift is required, you will not be able to carry them up a ladder and install them. Just my 2 cents.

If you are looking for 'normal' (decorative & functional) paddle fans, the 'name brand' fans from most reputable electric supply houses would be my choice. Hunter (original) or casablanca.

The Big Ass Fans, could be a choice, if the client likes the 'look'.

Be aware that the BAFs can/may affect the fire sprinkler water dispersion patterns.

You can route the fan circuit through a contactor controlled by the flow switch or FACP if sprinkler issues are anticipated to be a problem.

That's what's done to pass inspections.
