These pictures shows a homeowners attempt to install a new spot light on the side of the house up higher than the original light fixture.

It also shows a motion sensor and plumbing pipe being used to get the wire into the new electrical box.

Last but not least the surface mounted box that the light is attached to wasn't rated for a wet location.

We don't know what is inside that plastic pipe. My guess would be a piece of RX wire. However without opening it up we would be guessing.

Looks like the brick below is new and the verticle laid row above is original(older) so I wonder how the box was extended through new brick from what looks like original sconce placement..looks remuddled to me, chris
