My wife and I were discussing the meetings I have had with the committee to get an acceptable code, and a small disagreement ensued. She then stated "I know that I have faults. Being wrong is not one of them". Don't you just love their logic? Rowdy

I don't see a problem with it.
Hee hee - us gals have to stick together.
Reminds me of the pastor who asked the retired couple for their secret to a long marriage. The man replied that he and his wife had agreed very early in their marriage that she would make the 'small' decisions and he would make the 'large' ones. "And?," the pastor queried. "So far," the man said, "there haven't been any big ones."

I have always been the type to speak my mind, so when we have a problem I don't hesitate to stand my ground and say "yes dear". I think this is the reason I'm still here today. Roger

"If a man speaks and there are no women around to hear him is he still wrong?"
Rule #1: The wife is always right.
Rule #2: If the wife is wrong, refer to rule #1

As a single guy who's still looking for "the right girl," I'd quite welcome the chance to be in this position! [This message has been edited by pauluk (edited 01-05-2003).]

Roger: My dad taught me about "Yes, dear." Just be careful to never come across as sarcastic--that could make things worse

ThinkGood, Whew! I forgot to mention the sarcastic, or tone of voice point. You may have just saved some young mans life. Roger

Just to be on the safe side, don't forget jewelry, flowers and chocolate to be administered on regular (and frequent) schedules. Also, a touch of acceptance in the form of "I love you as you are, no matter what" doesn't hurt either.

My father's sole piece of advice to me when I told him I was going to get married was..
"If she throws something at you, don't catch it"

I've noticed great changes here in the U.S. concerning woman. Since the ERA movement,Gloria Steimham and the 70s. Just watching TV seeing woman actresses in the tough girl roll like Xena, women body builders, women wrestlers. Hillary Clinton possibly running for president. Women being the sole bread winner and dad playing Mr. Mom. My parents generation was the 40s. Things were a lot different back then. I believe in equal rights don't get me wrong. But it seems to be leading to a reverse roll. Kinda makes me think of the opening song archie and edith use to sing on all in the family when archie refers to the old days where he sings when men were men and gals were gals, those were the days. The latest news about cloning, may or may not be true, but if it does happen, thats like saying, ok men, finally you have become completely useless, you are not needed for anything again. Just a little prespective, a glimpse.
