I bought a small USB Bluetooth adapter for <$10. Many laptops come BT enabled. That is a way to do it if you don't pay for all the Email & Internet goodies for your cell phone. My old phone had a slot for a uSD card where the Sim card is on my current one. I was able to pop my micro SD into and adapter and transfer via the 8 in 1 media adapter on the front of my computer. I think that is only available for Verizon phones.
