Another product surfaced Friday during inspections. Seems like there are a few mfgs jumping into the fray.

This is a carry over from Harolds thread.

Opinions, Gentlemen??

You certainly want to go with the stainless one. It doesn't take much of a lapse on maintaining pool chemistry to have the water eat copper.
Certainly that neglect you see in a "closed" pool will do it.

John,

I agree with Greg that I would use the SS one myself. It looks like these connections goes right onto the hoses from the pool filter, skimmer or return. I wonder if they will catch debris and clog up the line?

That is probably a good reason to put them downstream of the filter.

Who installs this? Electrician or pool plumber? wink

That could be another topic!!!

I have to ask the ECs IF the water bond device is 'on them', or the pool guy.

Might be a good subject?

If I was the shop steward I would say the plumber puts in the fitting and the electrician hooks up the wire but I imagine the pool contractor does it all in most places.

Using table 9 and guessing that is 8ga wire (.128" diameter) that would have to be almost 23" long to get the required 9 sq/in
.128 x 3.14 x 23 = 9.244
