I am not sure if this is going on everywhere but the Florida IAEI is getting serious about looking for valid NRTL listing marks on all solar PV equipment. A lot of European equipment comes in with nothing but a CE mark and that is not a NRTL.

theres a county in Maryland that requires ALL commercial PV installs be inspected by a NRTL and signed off on. The AHJ only takes responsibility for the main feed after that is the NRTL

Good! NRTL ratings are required by law. As for a NRTL certifying a system, thats a little extreme and will hurt developement in that county

Yes, I agree that equipment should have a NRTL listing. The CE mark is not a 3rd party evaluation...just a self certification.
