Hey 'Jersey Guys':
Go to the 2008 NEC section and "READ" the post by Harold Endean regarding the DCA adoption of the 2008 NEC with Amendments.

This will be your only chance to voice your opinions to the 'powers-that-be' regarding the changes ('05-'08). Deadline is December xx, 2008. Use the link and there is an e-mail address for comments.

Professional comments only.

I posted comments within Harold's thread.

John,

Let's hope some of them will e-mail the state with their comments. It's funny but the NEC is getting ready for proposals to the 2011 code and we didn't even pass the 2008 yet. I am trying to look ahead in the 2008 ( beside the obvious things) to see what looks like it needs comments for 2011.

I read and reviewed the proposed amendments at DCA, and had a breif discussion FRiday. Looks like AFCI is finally coming, the GFI stays as is in '05. The Ec's are going to have to live with TR and WR. And the required comm point is gone by the wayside.

BTW, did you see the new REc Park Subcode (5:23-4D) yet?

John,

I think we are wasting our time here.If they wanted to make comment they would have by now. I just can't wait to hear the complaining once the 2008 goes into effect and we have to fail someone for not having a TP receptacle in the outside Wp receptacle or in the garage door outlet.
BTW, where was that Rec park Subcode? In the UCC or a communicator? I just recieved another new update this week for the UCC but I haven't even opened it yet.

Harold:
It's in the UCC; came in the last update package. There was mention of it on the DCA website within the last month also.

Time to stop beating a dead horse here.
