I have an older home with 3.5" ID PVC in the floor. Previous homeowner filled the boxes in with mud so I have no old covers and hardware. New homeowner has tiled around the PVC and wants outlets. Who makes a 3.5" ID floor box cover? Where can I get some? Thanks in advance!

Carlon makes floor boxes. But the current size (for the last 7-8 years or so) has a 4" ID on the PVC box. My PVC has a 3.5" diamter. Emco (local distributor for Carlon) says they have not made the old size for a long time and have no suggestions for where to find one. I have checked every local electrical supply store in town. Still no luck. Any other ideas?

I once heard a guy saying he had a problem like this and I believe he said he chipped the concrete around the outside of the box and put a piece of 4" (I believe ).Unsure if it worked but he claimed it did!

Yeah. That is one thought I have had, but the flooring is ceramic tile up to the edge of the hole -- very nicely done. Chipping the tile seems like a risky endeavor. Anyone out there have some old ones they want to ship to Tx?
