We use Salisbury Class "0" gloves with leather protectors for all work 600v & below & Class "2" gloves with leather protectors & rubber sleeves for all 7,970/13,800Y voltage primary work. The rubber gloves should be tested daily, by inflating them & listening for air leaks & visual inspection for damage. The utility I work for has us swap gloves monthly with newly tested gloves to reduce the risk of using a damaged glove. The sleeves are tested at least quarterly.
