Yep, this side of the business involves a lot more than just a cable run. It's not as simple as they make it look or even plumbers would be doing it. grin

Funnily enough, one guy I just installed a demarc filter and extension wiring for is one of our local plumbers!

Around here Embarc (the telco) and Comcast use sole proprietor contractors of dubious qualifications so they might have been plumbers last year.

I live out in the country, the voice and dsl in my house are carried on the same 2 wires out of a 4 wire cat nothing cable, I am by no means a computer wizard so I do not push the limits, but it works fine for me.
