I only get to inspect service entrances. I only do them if I have time, so I average about 2 a week.
MJ, how do you do it? There must not be any paperwork involved with your inspections. The forms I fill out take 10 minutes. Not to mention drive time (very rural, up to 45 minutes one way).
Few things are harder to put up with than the annoyance of a good example.

Oh well...the "Boss" wants 15 in 8 hrs. Sometimes??? you get 12, once got 18, maximum the computer allows is 15 (Girls "add" sometimes, or the "chosen ones" get spec treatment) Chief says "quality vs Quantity".... I usually do what they give me... Depends on what you have to inspect... Resi HVAC units, resi services, resi McMansions (rough/final) the big house on the hill (14000 SF) the 100K+SF warehouse/office/plant, a resi furnace replacement, an in ground pool (trench/bond/rough/final), gas station, cell towers, gensets, 4000 amp services, burg/fire alarms, and a any other possible thing you can think of.
Then, go back to the office, do the paperwork, file the tech cards, do the Cut-In cards, answer the phone, price permits, pull the tech cards for the next day, and do plan review.
Thank God I only work two 8 hour days a week QUALITY!
Love it... John

Tom, i use (1) form for all daily inspections, type of inspection, location, time, pass or fail, comment section.i dont give electrical instruction, just: pass/fail, call back for re-inspection for an extra service fee. i have been in the electrical field for over twenty years,i inspect rough-ins, temp power, just routine, finals when called for.a quick walk thru checking for proper material, workmanship, and code compliance , takes about 20 to 30 min for each location . i take app from 7a to 8a, coffee break 805a 830a at my usual location.845 to 1145 in the field,

MJ, Cool. Can I work for you? Around here, I have to give some guidance to the installer (non-electrician) although I won't tell them how to do something I will suggest a couple of ways that it should be done. You could end up with some spare ventilation holes in your body if you're not careful. Tom
