Article 800 is for communications like phones. Most control circuits, PLC communications links and computer interconnect cables are Article 725 applications.

Thanks Don, I see what the issue is. I think I will still say that the power wiring and "communication" wiring are not to be in the same conduit. The issue of SO cord in conduit in this case is pretty much an obvious violation. Not knowing much else about the job, I'll say that Class 1 and Class 2 or 3 are not permitted in the same raceway. Someone is going to have to classify the wiring to really be making the call about whether or not it can be in the same raceway.
