I posted this message in another forum, however have not had replies. I thought I would try here:

I thought perhaps somebody here maybe able to help me with finding a particular product that I am looking for.
I am looking for a standard rack mounted BIX distribution assembly like a QMBIX 10A. I have searched numerous sites and have not found anything. I would think there must be such a beast out there.

I have been able to find numerous patch panels for RG45 connectors, Cat5e rated but I am just looking for a rack-mounted version of the above QMBIX 10A.

A part number or link to a site would be appreciated.

Cheers

Why does it have to be BIX? Try the manufacturers site- http://hermione.nordx.com/webapp/wc...10001&categoryId=10006&langId=-1

You won't see much BIX in the US, mostly in Canada though Northern Telcom supplies it with their systems that they send here.

Edit: Ah, you're from Canada. I answered my own question.

Try www.provowire.com They carry all the BIX stuff and generic brands. They are located in Woodbridge.

Thanks for your replies. Unfortunately I have checked these sites previously and had no luck in what I am looking for.

Perhaps I am just a poor searcher...

What I was looking for I did not think was particularly special, however it would appear that it is...

Thanks again for your replies.

Cheers

You might give it a try to ask your question over at the Telephone Tec Talk board- http://www.sundance-communications.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

There are a couple of Canadian guys there that are regular users of BIX and I think it would be more on topic there than on an electrical board such as this.

As far as I know that link I gave you is the only manufacturer of BIX products but I could be wrong.
