Besides running my own maintenance company, I also work for the local ambulance service, volunteer for one of our fire departments, and work as a deputy coroner for my county.

I don't do much other than run an electric company and play on the computer. I try to go to Las Vegas at least once a year and love to play blackjack. I guess it's the gambler in me that drives me in my business dealings. I like to play golf also, but recently haven't had time and my back's screwed up. Vegas anyone?

OK, with all of the activity at E-C.net, how could anyone have time for anything else?

I play bass guitar in a blues/rock band http://fat-headed-monster.com , play fife in a drum and fife corps http://www.fifedrum.org/alv/ ... I'm an "armchair" caver http://www.caves.org/ (haven't been caving in several years) an armchair aviator (ditto on any flying, except for MS Flight Sim 2002) and have a menagerie of animals: 7 dogs, 6 cats, 1 horse and 13 of my step-dad's heifers on the farm. Plus, computers, digital photography, motorcycles, playing many other musical instruments (penny whistle, harmonica, some trumpet, some keys, guitars) and I may start making lamps! There's so much more I want to do and see...

What no plumbers out there? or just afraid to admit it. No joke, the easiest money in the world is replacing water heaters.

Brian: To be perfectly honest, I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would want to be a plumber , except for the money, I guess. Around here, they seem to make more than electricians, but the work seems so miserable, what with leaking pipes, leaking fittings and valves, having to deal with gravity, etc. I used to do plumbing at home, and never completed a job without less than three visits to the hardware store, and an occasional emergency call to a real plumber. I refuse to do it any more - even at gunpoint... Mike (mamills)
