This should be an easy one. I have some inexpensive cable lighting that is powered by a low voltage tansformer. 12 volt if that helps. I want to add more fixtures to the existing cables. The transformer is at its wattage limit now. Can I add another tansformer to the same line in parallel? I have another transformer from another set of lights that I did not use and I want to just patch this in and add fixtures. Will I blow up the place?

Why not just buy a new bigger transformer that can handle the load. I assume your secondary conductors are capable of handling the load?

I would tend to agree with Spyder, the idea of paralleling transformers up has its own problems, best to keep it simple.
Also, if you are upgrading the transformer,
leave a certain amount of lee-way in the rating, as this will prevent burning out,
the transformer.

I guess being cheap is a bad idea. How bout a cheap place online to buy said transformer. This way I can still be cheap and not burn the place down. Thanks for all your help...
