Here is LA's adopted codes.

I was told a few years ago by the LA Chief electrical inspector that the state is trying to force all jurisdictions to adopt the state code without amendments to standardize throughout the state. That obviously has not come to pas yet.
BTW: San Francisco also has a very long list of amendments to the CEC.
