I'd like to thank everyone that has taken the time to send in pictures for discussion here (and the other areas). I find some of this old stuff very interesting and I know I'm not alone.

If anyone has any Pictures to share here please send them in. Pictures with a Story are even better!

Thanks again,
Bill

Hi guys,I'm new around here, but not new to the trade.I've been in the field, 14 years now, and I'm still hopelessly in love with electricity...I work in alot of old homes and I've developed a craving for "electricana" of yesteryear...I've searched high and low, but until now, never saw such a definitive collection!!!I've printed the pictures to show my apprentices and to illustrate the old ways for them...I'm trying to amass my own collection, but I've only gotten a few rotary snap switches...I'm really interested in knowing when did NJ,(which is where I'm from), do away with DC, and go with AC, and why exactly???
Thanx again to all who posted the great shots of the "relics"..

I'd have to second your comments, there Bill!. [Linked Image]
I really enjoy the pictures that are posted in this Area.
Must get out and get a few pics of some the older gear that I work with from time to time.
You'd be amazed how many places over here still have equipment from the 30's and 40's in them, although they have long since been taken out of service, lots of people just never seem to get rid of old gear like this.
Strange that!. [Linked Image]
