Thanks for bringing this topic up.
There appears to be those here that have never been involved in a low voltage (ie <480V) arc accident, low voltage does not mean low energy and will hurt you just as bad as any MV or HV blast.
Some people seem to have the erronous idea that if the supply voltage to a certain piece of equipment is under a given value, that it is harmless, tell that to guys here that have been burned rather badly with a single phase 230V blow-out.
Personally I wouldn't risk wearing any clothing that had synthethics in it and I would take a rather dim view of any employer that required me to wear such a garment.
Someone did mention that nylon will make you sweat, I can agree with this, I have some polo shirts here that I was given for Xmas a couple of years back, they are like wearing one of them dodgy "Sauna-suits" and they don't "breathe" all that well, just remember that sweat will also lower your skin contact resistance.
They've been hanging in my wardrobe since I got them, having only worn one once.
