Ok Folks.
Let us know what you want to talk about.
Occupational Health and Safety is a wide ranging topic.
It could be something you saw at work, or something you would like to see changed.
We are open to discussion, that is what a Chat-room is for.
Mike.

Locking out ALL the sources of energy...and grounding out conductors so that they STAY dead while I'm working.

Les(LK)has offered to get a guy to come in to talk to us folks on Ladder Safety.
We'd also like to stage other Safety related Chats with guests from Industry.
Please bear in mind that we don't want anyone with a sales-pitch in mind.
Any independant folks are more than welcome to put thier name forward, we'd love to learn from you.
Les was also suggesting that we have a talk on Confined Area's and the ramifications of working in them.
Like Les, I've seen a lot of accidents happen in these types of work and there is a need for EC's to be on the ball about the risks, employer or employee.
Myself, I'm trying to source a representative of a PPE company in the US, mainly Insulated Gloves, as there is a lot of mis-understanding in thier application and use, again, without a sales pitch.
If anyone can help, either send off an e-mail to me or post below.
Your input may just save a life.

And yes Ghost,
There should by rights be a discussion on LOTO.
What safety discussion would be complete without it?.
Who do we get to explain the basics of LOTO?.

C'mon guys, use your brains for once.
There are a LOT of things that can harm or kill you on a work-site.
Safety is a TEAM effort, you want it all spelt out for you?.
You can't make money if you're dead!.
Sad that is'nt it. [Linked Image]

Thanks Kenny,
Yeah I'd imagine we could get a good discussion going on that!. [Linked Image]
How about things like using Natural fibres for clothing or Nomex under-clothes?.
I'm open to all and any ideas.

Personally,
I think next weeks Safety Chat should be an open Forum that would allow anyone the chance to submit any safety-related topic that they like or feel needs to be addressed.
Don't be shy folks, we have a good friendly crew in these Chat events, nothing will be turned away for a talking point.
Cheers,
Mike. [Linked Image]
