I can't argue with you that it is not the best choice of arrangements.

In this case the chance of me injuring myself lifting the generator in out of the truck is higher than the chance of me forgetting that exhaust is not air.

I have been looking into truck inverters but often I am running a 'hot box' for bending PVC, it draws about 16 amps at 120 VAC which would relate to 'about' 160 amps at 12 VDC.

The vans electrical system is not up to that at all. [Linked Image]
