It's insane the lengths that yuppies go to.

100 years ago, this kind of room would have been the refuge of a working stiff like myself.

Probably paying $10 a week in 1900s money, which would probably equal to $100 a week in today's dollars.

England must operate on some pretty backwards building codes leftover from the 19th century. How does a 10x17' space classify as large enough to be habitable space or a dwelling? A flat for the elephant man...
