At our Titirangi Firestation we have a contactor wired, into the range circuit which drops it off line as soon the bells go down.
Just in case someone leaves something unattended during a firecall, on the stove.
It can be reset by pushing the reset switch near the isolater switch of the range.

The product of rotation, excitation and flux produces electricty.

Ray,
Having come from a Career FF Background, the idea of a Range shutting down after the Bells go down is not that foreign.
It used to ruin my Chicken Merivale, though.
Also Potatoes Au Gratin (Spuds and Cheese), were ruined as well.
I'm as much a Chef as I am a Fire-Officer.
You had to bring a new meal to the boys every 8 days.
I loved it!. [Linked Image]
