No,
It's not a talk about the Euro.
But djk bought it up in the US Chat room today.
Look, I've tried to get you guys together for some time.
Is there a chance that we can get a regular Chat Schedule going?
It's entirely up to you guys when in happens.
Anyone care to suggest a Time/Day?.
All I want is your input into this topic.
Dave and I are keen, but I've yet to see anyone else register thier interest.
I'd like like comments from C-H, Ragnar, Alan Belson and anyone else that want's to put thier spoke in!. [Linked Image]
The Chat rooms are there to be used and the only people I've seen in there is Paul, Dave and Belgian.
Come and have a Chat, If you'd like. [Linked Image]

It sounds interesting. Sunday evening around 1900 GMT would be the most suitable time for me.
By the way I have a problem logging onto the chat since I changed my password recently. It doesn't accept my old or niew password.

I try to drop by when I can, but at the moment I'm all over the place with work and other chores, so I'm never sure when I'm going to have a half hour to log on.

Eli,

I think the chat software picks up the password from a different database than the main forum, so it could be that the file hasn't been updated properly. I'll e-mail Bill and ask him to check for you.

Sundays 1900 GMT = 2000 BST = 2100FR is ok by me, if I remember!

Boy was I awakened last week!.
I knew, but probably never appreciated just how far apart NZ and the UK and Europe are with respect to time difference.
I downloaded a program to use with talking to the Astronauts on the International Space Station while the Space Shuttle was there.
I had the chance to talk with one of them.
But, on the other side of the coin, if you do get a chance to be at the computer, hop on in to the Chat room.
I usually get out of bed here at 6 am Saturday morning and it may get earlier as the weather gets warmer.
My sequence of work is normally:
Wash and a shave, have a shower, breakfast, COFFEE, ECN.
The computer gets turned on before I even head to the bathroom.
It's Windows XP, don't expect it to happen in a hurry. [Linked Image]
I don't mind getting up early on a Saturday morning if it helps you guys?.

Dear Mike!

The Saturday morning is only Friday night here, and I guess there's another chat at that time, but I'll be there if I can. [Linked Image]

What they suggest , Sunday evening, is Monday morning your time. Like the time when I write now is 1:35 PM Tuesday in Hungary, 11:35 PM Tuesday NZ, and the site will show the time in the USA.

Btw someone could tell me which time is that the site show (I've heard there is ZULU, etc) [Linked Image]

Thanks Gloria,
Glad someone said it. [Linked Image]
We are talking chickens and ducks here.
Us folk down here in the Southern Hemisphere, especially being from Australia and NZ are at a disadvantage.
Or are we?.
We are at an opposite time to those in Europe.
Sure we are a day ahead down here, but surely we can work that out.
If I can talk to Radio Hams in Sweden at a social time here.
I also realise that people like Paul have to earn a living, he is exempt from this.
I've spoken to Paul and Dave more often than not in the Chat rooms.
Eli, I've seen you there too.
OK, the rest of you, argue out a time!. [Linked Image]

Daylight savings and opposite hemispheres makes a difference too, i.e.

Northern summer/Southern winter: NZ = UK + 11 hrs.
Northern winter/Southern summer: NZ = UK + 13 hrs.

One thing I have noticed since I downloaded a clock that shows the time anywhere in the world, is the fact that you guys in the UK and France are just getting up as the guys from the US are going to bed.
How about a morning Chat?.
1800HRS is 0800 French time here.
I'm willing to work in with you folks.
A question for Paul, are we a day ahead of you guys in the UK?.
If it means that I have to get out of bed early on Saturday or Sunday morning so be it.
Someone just suggest a time??!!. [Linked Image]
I'd like to do this, there is nothing like real-time chat. [Linked Image]
