The question of 'ownership' of tails has been the basis of arguments forever and a day here. As Paul says, to the meter is the Util's - beyond is the property-owners. However, the Util's can get quite feisty about csa/length/routing.

Generally, where there is any liklihood of warfare over length, I simply put in a switch-fuse downside of the disconnect and the Util can take a running hop [Linked Image] I never use tails less than 25mm, and often 35mm. Routing can be a problem; they're not supposed to be clipped or physically bunched, but can be ducted. Again, the switch-fuse draws the line in the sand! [Linked Image]
