Most equipment made in Asia has twin flex and no earth. By adding a separate earth wire (soldered for example to the outside lug of an RCA plug) we get a significant improvement in sound.
Well, it can help reduce hum and other interference, so we're getting somewhere now.
The earth cable is directional so try it both ways (take a walk on the wild side). Cable that is directioned correctly will sound ‘faster’... ignore all other aspects.
