I also want to try what George said. About taking a meter to the DWV and handle and see if we get a voltage and then do what he suggests. After having the service checked. We did have a main breaker replaced recentely and just started using the shower.

Is it also possible that Nanci could call the inspector to have him/her check the installation? If another electrician is called in, could Nancy potentially recoup the cost from the original electrician (or the inspector)?
