Welcome to ECN, CN!

Should I interpret the trailing _HK as you are in Hong Kong?

Yes, we (I dare to speak for others here) would be most interested in Chinese wiring practices! I've tried to find information on-line, but it seems you need to know Mandarin. [Linked Image]

It's said that half of all construction cranes in the world are found in Shanghai. Even if it's an exaggeration, it is clear that the Chinese cities are huge construction sites at this time. There must be a lot of electrical work going on.

I looked at the numbers again: 1544 backyard factories!!! The number is such that it is almost impossible for me to grasp.

[Linked Image] Are you saying that China imports MCBs and RCDs in numbers? (The brands are French, German, Japanese and Australian, respectively.)

Slightly off topic: I've been wiring control cabinets for the past months and all the components have four listings: European CE, Amrican UL, Canadian CSA or ULc and Chinese CCC. Despite the prominent "Made in Germany" and "Made in France", none carry German or French volountary listings, like VDE. A sign of the times, I think [Linked Image]
