Since I've moved away from IE6, I'd like to get rid of it.
But Windas XP tells me that I can't. [Linked Image]
It says that there is another application using it and I should close that application first.
Go and do that and you are met with the Windas 'plorer window telling you that there is an error. [Linked Image]
How do you get rid of these nasty app's if you don't need them any more?.
Firefox works perfectly for me and has no- where near the same memory load as IE6.
One thing that really kills me about Windas, is the use of the word "may".

Windows Explorer has found a problem and may need to close.
And Poof! you're back to the Desktop, from where you came from.
Bugger!. [Linked Image]

Mike...

DO NOT DELETE INTERNET EXPLORER!!!

THIS WILL CAUSE YOUR COMPUTER TO SUFFER A PERMANENT MELTDOWN!!! [Linked Image]

Microsoft has interwoven IE into Windows and it uses it for general navigation through the operating system.

They have been sued over this issue and basically they have won. So we have to live with it. [Linked Image]

I read {unconfirmed} that IE is the only online way to get MS security patches/updates. Is that indeed the case?

Dear Mike!

Usually you get a message about the problem. A debug, or anything. That's sort of a feedback, which can give you advice about the problem.

I also have this window each time I close the Outlook, and I found out it is of Winfax, something was deleted of it and it is connected to outlook.

But to remove and reinstall winfax is one day and I ain't no time-millioner (if I was, I would chat with you. [Linked Image] ).

Another Idea, try to checck the control panel, there should be something to set the default explorer.
