I saw on DW-TV, last night that the European Commission, has it's own IT manager and it's his job to help local councils and governments to get set up with things like E-Commerce and websites for local councils, to help people get better service from local and national governments.

Most people around here would be happy if the local council just answered simple inquiries in less than 8 weeks and actually bothered to read the question instead of just sending out useless standard replies every time.
