Did they give you permission to touch their trailer?

If not I think your good deed could come back to haunt you.

The trailer owner saved a bunch of money by not having to buy an adapter for this purpose (probably $10 or $15 at your local neighborhood trailer accessory store). I bought a travel trailer recently and the dealer threw one in on the deal.

Taking a closer look at picture #3, has the trailer cord separated from it's plug? Looks like I see individual wires disappearing into the trailer. Looks different than picture #1. Strange - - -

How anyone could hook something like that up, walk away and say, "that's good," is beyond me.

Obviously, the calculated load for this trailer exceeds 15 amps.

Not even. Lowe's has them for around $6.00 a piece, to convert a 30-amp trailer plug into a 5-15 male plug

To answer your question Iwire they didnt give me premission but no one saw. The
trailer was by an elemantery school parked by the side walk.

Good eye Radar the cord has separated from the plug.

Well I guess you're covered then... There are usually severe penalties for possessing a deadly weapon or whipping it out near a grade school.

One approach to resolving this safety issue would be to stop at Lowe's on the next trip near there and spend the $6 for an approved adapter, then go back and knock on the trailer door and offer to install it for the sake of safety. Just a thought. . . .

I can't help but wonder why they bothered to connect the green wire.
