This was at a window shutter manufacturer in Southern California. He had connected a phase converter to his panel since he only had single phase. Notice the lack of fittings, the lack of conduit, and the overall installation.

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm!

Wow!
Now that's a quality "in-house" installation.
is it "bravery", ignorance, or plain stupidity????

Now that's a beautiful installations! I especially like the small panel with 3000 wires in it and the nice big panel with relatively few wires. Looks like it's time for a complete rework.

yep, a rework, right after the fire department finishes rolling up the hoses.

Duane: Thanks for sharing this picture. Were you called in to do some work on this "installation"? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...where to start? The violations noticeable even to someone like me are too numerous to count. This ranks far below some of the "home handyman" jobs which have been posted previously.

The bad thing is, of course, that there are poor (dare I classify it THAT high) jobs like this everywhere to which no one ever gives a second thought.

I think I hear my fire pager going off now... [Linked Image]

Well, at least that big bell should be ringing to get someone's attention.

Probably painted and the vibrating contacts wont let it work.
