There are 4 services on building an 800 amp parallel single phase, 400 amp three phase, and 2- 200 amp commercial tenant services single phase. My problem is with the attachment to the fire escape, contractor did this because of the reach problem from the window/door that is behind wood. How do you all feel about this? John Man

John;
230-9 stipulates " 3ft(914mm) from windows that are designed to be opened, doors,porches,balconies,stairs, fire escapes, or similar locations.

There is no exception for a barrier placed bettween open conductors and these items to accomodate a distance of less than 3'

However it would seem to meet the intent of the code to do such.
