I have attached a photo I took in a mobile home park. This #14 THHN was ran at least 100' away and plugged into the side of the house. I made sure this was removed and went home with me before some one was killed.

The "Tornado" is down the block and around the corner and says " CATERPILLAR " on it. [Linked Image]

Hey, lets look at the glass half full here. Atleast they have the gfi in a box, AND they used BOTH 6-32 screws to secure it. [Linked Image]

It could always be worse! [Linked Image]

Trailer parks just seem to be magnetic to bad electrical work.. 99% of the ones I've been through were Zinsco infested, direct buried aluminum conductor jungles set up originally as a stop for those pulling an Airstream to the beach. Now they're loaded beyond all comprehension of the lowest bidders' original installation.. [Linked Image] The last one I saw had 12/3 SO cord in underground PVC on a 50A 2pole feeding a trailer (sans grounding of any kind!) I got back in my van and drove away...

Lostazhell: You aren't kidding about that! RV parks are even worse. Total handyman specials. Plumbing parts inter-mixed with electrical, propane "issues" like flex connectors running through walls, sanitary conditions that would make the worst gas station restroom look good, you name it.

I love when you see RV's that have been parked in the same spot for decades, the power cord long-since sun rotted, and many times connected with an adapter to plug into a 5-15 receptacle that is equally deteriorated. Not to mention the open receptacle cover since 1969.

Hey; there's no weatherproof cover on that box.
Did they at least put a hole in the bottom so the rainwater can drain out???

It's a romex box, for pete's sake! I defy you to seal one - even with caulk!
