While walking around the neighborhoods distributing smoke and carbon monoxide detector reminder flyers on duty for the FD, I happened to look down and see this little gem.

And no, this isn't "in the hood" (the luxurious east side) - this is out by our golf course, home to many nice and expensive houses.

I assume it feeds the yard light, but I may be mistaken.

That royally blows. That is a carol Froghide cord, kinda nice IMO. Those cords last a long time, when not set in asphalt [Linked Image]

However, that is totally wrong for this application. tear it out, fix it, shoot whoever did this.

That GFI appears to be tripped... Hmm I wonder why? [Linked Image] I'm imagining that cord being cut flush with the asphalt once the snow blowers get pulled out...
