Craftsmanship? I found this at a job walk in San Jose. Notice the
precise bends and custom strapping required to make it stay in the air.

I don't think you could bend a pipe rougher than that if you tried. [Linked Image]
And as for that Exit sign, which way is out?.

There's also a J box in that run, right behind that exit sign that direct traffic to nowhere.

It looks like some retrofitting pipe fitter is the handyman here.

Note the bend just swings by the big pipe.

Further, it looks like the EMT support to the left is a classic pipe fitter strap.

The total absence of HVAC and general clean topside makes me think that this space is in the middle of a re-hab.

I wonder if some kind of refit of this commercial space is going on here. I hope that conduit run is VERY temporary.

The exit sign looks like it is so far up in the air, most people probably wouldn't even notice it.

But at the same time the exit sign can be seen from all areas in the building so that makes it code compliant correct [Linked Image] even though no one knows which way to go there is an exit somewhere [Linked Image]

I suspect the pipe was nice and straight until the forklift came along.....
