In Webster's dictionary, a picture of this might appear next to the word "Panelboard". I hope somebody's kidding with this thing...It kinda conjures up thoughts of what knob and tube wiring might look like without the knobs or tubes... Mike (mamills)

Sorry, but they weren't kidding. It was in place and working in an illegal installation where someone had made a multi-family dwelling out of a single family.
It's been said before on this forum "The trouble with electricity is........ it nearly always works"

This reminds me of when my girls were young. At their birthday or christmas they would open their presents, and keep the box and throw away the gift.

ZackDitner, well at least there are breakers in it Shouldn't that be "on it"?. I suppose it saves on knock-outs and glands. How on earth would you ground a panel like this?.

How on earth would you ground a panel like this?. You rig an aquarium pump to continuously wet the back board. What's wrong with these new people? Don't the old hands train them any more? Do we hafta tell ya everything? -- {ducking} Tom [This message has been edited by tdhorne (edited 08-28-2003).]

I just know you have a different definition of gland than we do in the U.S.
What is it?

Well, it is a board... I'm more concerned with their lack of conductor support within 12"...
